A 10-year-old girl, who saved several lives during a grenade attack in Imphal, and a 13-year-old boy, who rescued over 50 people during a stampede in Himachal Pradesh are among the 21 children conferred with the National Bravery Awards for 2009.
Twenty children, selected for this years bravery awards, today had a lifetime experience at the Rashtrapati Bhavan with President Pranab Mukherjee interacting with them and posing for a photograph.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday praised the courage of bravery awards recipients, saying bravery should be a part of our nature.
They may be just children but their bravery surpasses ages.
The apex court website showed that the issue would be taken up for hearing on February 10 by a bench headed by Chief Justice S A Bobde.
